Reinier Brongers, managing director

Developed himself from second steersman to the top man of NedCoat Groningen. After his studies at the Higher Nautical College he sailed the world seas with the merchant fleet until wife and children pulled him back ashore. He became marketing and sales manager of shipping- and aviation-related suppliers. To be sure being able to deliver the goods promised to customers, he also wanted to drive the production engineering side of the story. He was given that opportunity as general director of an aluminium rolling mill and later in steel-processing companies. A real Tukker*, communicating from the heart and preferring to work with a close team of people around him. His motto is “don’t work harder, but smarter”. “With the current automation we can do more with the same number of people and integrate more strongly in the logistic chain of our customers.”
