NedCoat is the licensee for Geomet® and Dacromet®LC in the Benelux.
Geomet® and Dacromet®LC are sustainable anticorrosive systems based on zinc and aluminium offering a long-term protection for small parts such as washers, hinges, fastening pieces, nuts and bolts. The products don’t show any hydrogen brittleness, are resistant to aggressive environments and temperatures up to 280° C.

Geomet® and Dacromet®LC: chromium-arm and chromium-free
NedCoat is the licensee in the Benelux for the chromium-arm Dacromet®LC and the chromium-free Geomet® preservation methods of Dacral. With these systems NedCoat joined a select group of suppliers worldwide. Dacral developed this method especially for the auto- industry. NedCoat in turn found many new fields of application such as agriculture, air conditioning, mechanical engineering and the railway industry.

Centrifuging with Geomet® and Dacromet®LC
Because Geomet® and Dacromet®LC offer high-quality anticorrosive protection for small fastening products it is also very suited for the centrifuge process. This is a fully automatic and environmentally friendly process for degreasing, spraying, cooling, immersing, drying, sintering and, finally, packaging.

With Dacromet®LC the steel is fitted with a metallic coating based on zinc and aluminium chips in a chromate solution. Geomet® is a thin, non-electrolytic protection consisting of microscopic zinc lamellae and aluminium lamellae in an inorganic matrix. A minimum layer thickness (8µ) already results in a resistance of 500 hours in the salt spray test. The treated products preserve their physical properties, are dimensionally very stable because of the limited layer thickness and do not show any hydrogen brittleness.
